6th Grade Students Receive the Bible

Deacon John Reilly presented every 6th grade student at St. Columba Religious Education with his or her personal Bible.  "Receive the Word of God," said Deacon John. Each student responded, "Thanks be to God."  Sr. Marie spoke briefly at each prayer service and presentation of the Bible, sharing how God's Word is structured, used for personal prayer and study, and how it has transformed the lives of people like St. Augustine and St. Therese of the Child Jesus.  The students were encouraged to let God's Word transform their own hearts and lives.
