Advent is a season of anticipation, longing, awareness of our deepest desires. We had the opportunity to experience the Sacrament of Reconciliation before Christmas. Some classes celebrated Christmas pageants enacting the first Christmas when God bent Himself into the womb of Mary and into our humanity. He came as a vulnerable infant to save us. He still comes to us in the sacraments and in the love and service we offer to one another.
We celebrate the life we share as a faith community. At our Christmas Masses we feel our solidarity as we stretch our hearts toward God in our joys, sickness, sorrows and longings. We belong to one another, depend on one another and seek God's love together.
St. Columba Parish wishes all the embrace of God's love and His abundant blessings!
